# Configure Google Ad Manager

Displaying video ads requires a VAST Tag from Google Ad Manager or an ad system that follows the same standard. If you already use Google Ad Manager, you can configure it to provide a VAST Tag using the following steps.

# Overview of the Google Ad Manager setup

After enabling Google Ad Manager Video in your account, the overall steps are:

  1. Create Video Inventory: choose the Ad Unit and Key-Values you will use to target your video ad space
  2. Create Video Ad Tags: create and install the video ad tags on your website or in your player
  3. Create Video Line Items: set up and target video Line Items to serve Creatives to your ad space
  4. Add Creatives to a Video Line Item: manage video ads, overlays, or the ad formats you want

# Get the VAST Ad Tag

After setting up the Line Item, click an existing Ad Unit, click Tags, then configure the tag as follows:

  1. Tag type: select Google Publisher Tag for Video and Audio
  2. Tag Options: under Additional ad tag URL parameters, you can specify the audience targeting you want

Once you have the VAST Ad Tag, configure it in the ByteArk Video Player system in the next step. See Install Ad Tag.
