# Video Format and Quality Settings

After finished uploading videos, your videos will be processed to the project's default Preset. Preset is a set of formats and quality of the video.

# Change the Project's Default Preset

Video uploaded into the project will apply the default preset. Before uploading videos, you can change the preset first.

  1. On the homepage, select the project, then click Manage Project menu.
  2. Under Upload Default Settings group, click Preset button.

No preset matches your needs? Learn how to create a new preset.

WARNING

If there was any video uploaded inside the project, and you change the default project's preset, any existed video will NOT be reprocessed.

# Create a New Preset

  1. Click the Manage menu, which is located on the most left blue menu bar of the website.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Video Output > Presets button.

You can add, edit or delete presets here.

# Video Formats

Supported video formats are HLS and MP4.

# Video Qualities

Standard video qualities are 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, 240p and 144p. If you want to use a custom resolution, see Create a Custom Resolution.

# Profile

Profile is a set of tracks. Each profile cannot have a duplicated video format.

# Track

When you create new Profile, there will be 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, 240p and 144p track automatically generated. You can change or create a new track.

# Create a Custom Resolution

You can create a custom resolution by adding a new track. Choose Custom Resolution, then enter the shortest side of the video (e.g. 576 means 576p)

  • Choose the option "This track will always be used by stretching its size to fit the width you entered." if you want Stream to upsampling the video.
  • Choose the option "This track will be skipped if the video is smaller than the width you entered." if you want Stream to skip transcoding the video that smaller than the custom resolution.
